Helping children feel comfortable, free, and relaxed during your session.
Little Moments Matter Most.
Before Your Session

A few helpful tips:

- Avoid telling children they "have to smile."
- Talk about the session positively beforehand
- Allow extra time so nobody feels rushed
- Bring favorite comfort items, if needed
- Snacks are always a good idea

What Children Usually Respond Best To
Not sitting and staring at the camera.
- Movement
- Play
- Exploration

- Laughter
- Connection with parents
What to Bring
- Water/snacks
- Neutral blankets

- Back-up outfits
- Small sentimental items
- Comfort toy, if needed
Durning the Session
I gently guide children through play and interaction rather than strict posing.
Some of the sweetest moments happen in between:
- running
- giggling
- cuddling
- exploring
- shy little expressions
Connection matters more than perfection.
A Note for Parents
Children feed off your energy.
If you stay relaxed, they usually will too. The best thing you can do is love on the, laugh with them, and trust the process.
